Under Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), states are required to maintain a list of prescreened external organizations that can provide technical assistance to 21st Century Community Learning Center programs. The Pennsylvania Department of Education vets' organizations for inclusion on this list, and the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education is currently recognized as an approved External Organization Resource. FFEE is identified by PDE as having expertise in areas including financial literacy, project-based learning, summer programming, workforce development, youth development, career and college readiness, coaching and mentoring, and program design.
