About the Position

SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the VP of Educational Relations and in cooperation with the Schools Manager, The Community Partnership Coordinator helps to direct and coordinate the outreach efforts statewide as it relates to the marketing and development and school participation of the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education.

The individual in this role will be responsible for implementing outreach efforts throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania and must reside or be willing to relocate to this area of the state.

This is a full-time position with full benefits. While the position is remote (work-from-home), the role requires extensive and regular regional travel within the Central and Eastern Pennsylvania territory to engage with and manage relationships with our community partners, schools, and businesses. Employee will also be required to help execute all sessions of the Pennsylvania Free Enterprise (PFEW) program annually each summer in Williamsport, PA.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned.)

Under the supervision of the VP of Educational Relations and in cooperation with the Schools Manager, The Community Partnership Coordinator helps to direct and coordinate the outreach efforts statewide as it relates to the marketing and development and school participation of the Foundation for Free Enterprise Education.

This position is a full-time position with full benefits. It is a remote position, however this individual will be required to report to the Foundation offices in Erie, PA a few times a year. Employee will also be required to help execute all sessions of the Pennsylvania Free Enterprise (PFEW) program annually each summer in Williamsport, PA.

  • Actively engages in student and teacher recruitment to meet annual goals and objectives established by the Foundation. Serves as primary contact to those schools assigned regionally.
  • Establishes and maintains close working relationships with the Foundation's school contacts (teachers, guidance counselors, principals, superintendents, etc.) to assure their awareness of, and continuing involvement in, the mission of the Foundation.
  • Prepares annual strategy for meeting goals and objectives relative to number of school visits, number of presentations, and number of students to annually participate in various Foundation programs.
  • Works with staff in the development and promulgation of all promotional literature, newsletters, press releases, etc. that are utilized by Foundation.
  • Works to establish and maintain close working relationships with the Foundation's 100+ supporting and endorsing business organizations (i.e., manufacturers' associations, chambers of commerce, other business advocacy groups, foundations, etc.) statewide to assure their awareness of continuing involvement in, and support of, the mission of the Foundation.
  • Works to maintain all Foundation programs including the updating and expansion of the Speaker Series program.
  • Recommends new policies and procedures to the President & CEO designed to generally improve and ensure the continued growth and development of Foundation programs statewide.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience in working with academic institutions, schools, teachers, and student groups is desirable. Proficiency in office computing and business systems with current knowledge of commonly used software utilized in office environments is a requirement.

This person MUST have good organizational skills and be a self-starter.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general educational periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, etc. with respect to promotion and marketing duties. Ability to write reports, educator and other professional correspondence, etc. Ability to author press and other media releases statewide. Ability to effectively present, both orally and in writing, information and make successful promotional speeches for student and educator recruitment to various constituencies. Must possess strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences including students, educators and business professionals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear, as well as use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and other essential office equipment. Light lifting of manuals, books, paper products, etc. is required. Employees is required to travel extensively by automobile and is expected to be able to execute all necessary arrangements, and travel demands on their own.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

General office environment is the norm. However, program execution requires this employee to work in academic institutions and other academic settings and occasionally outdoors for student activities. Noise level in work environment is generally low.

If working remotely, must be proficient in all processes involved and capable of setting up their own internal connections in order to communicate with the main Foundation office and personnel.

PAY:

Starting Salary Range $45K to $50K depending on skills/experience, benefit package includes bonus incentives, a generous vacation plan, sick time, holiday pay, employer paid pension, 401K matching plan, tuition assistance, health, dental and vision benefits.
